Recovered from the 1968 Sector 7-P interior catalog, originally spec'd for habitat common areas where greenery and ambient light were considered essential to crew morale. Reissued without modification.

20 in full height without the fitting, 19 in with it. 10 in dome. 3.3 lbs, or 3.8 lbs lit. Opaque ABS hemispheres, top and bottom. Brushed gold chain and S-hooks. Three-point suspension, balanced for a level hang.

The domes are opaque by specification. The fitting sends its light straight down through the 10 in aperture instead of scattering it sideways, so you get a pool of warmth on the surface below and no bare bulb in your sightline. E26 socket. Standard, Edison filament or grow bulbs.

Hang it trailing a pothos or a string of pearls. Above a kitchen island, a reading chair, a workstation that needs atmosphere. The no-light configuration installs in a single rotation from the central hook. No electrician.

Bulb and botanical specimens not included. Pairs with the Atomic Space Age Specimen for a complete Sector 7-P installation.

Integrated Light Fitting

The domes are opaque ABS, and that is the specification rather than a compromise. Light leaves through the 10 in lower aperture only, directed down onto the surface beneath: ambient, pooled, alive, with no bare bulb in the sightline. The 1968 original was spec'd for exactly this, crew habitat areas requiring atmosphere as much as illumination. E26 standard fitting. Compatible with standard bulbs, Edison filament, or grow bulbs for light-sensitive specimens.

How It Hangs

Three brushed gold chains hold the two domes apart at a fixed gap, so the plant spills through. They are structural, not the suspension.

No Light: hangs from a hook at the dome apex on a 2 ft ceiling chain. Ceiling hook, wall anchors and cord hook included. Installs in a single rotation from the central hook. No electrician.

With Light: carried by a pre-installed 13 ft plug-in cord with an inline on/off switch and a flat two-prong US plug. It reaches a standard outlet and needs no wiring. Non-US operators should check voltage compatibility before requisition.

Drop length adjustable to suit the personal habitat.

Designed to pair with the Atomic Space Age Habitat Module as part of a complete Sector 7-P installation. When deployed together, the pendant planter anchors the vertical axis while the specimen grounds the surface, a fully coordinated habitat configuration. Both available for dispatch from Sector 7-P.
